Information for students interested in going to AUBURN

Greetings from Auburn University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions,

Fall is just around the corner!  Here are a few updates as you begin meeting with seniors and their families.

Dates and Deadlines
September 1 – Admissions application available for Summer or Fall 2018
  • Decisions will be released on a rolling basis throughout the application season. Students may be accepted, deferred or released throughout the process. Students who are deferred will receive a final decision no later than February 15.
  • Students using a fee waiver should complete the application to the point of payment and then save the application. They should then contact theirAdmissions Advisor who will assist them in completing the payment process.
October 1 – Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available for 2018-19 aid
December 1 – Scholarship application deadline for incoming freshmen
    • Students must complete the scholarship application through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) for scholarship consideration.
    • Students planning to apply for scholarships should complete the admission application with all required materials received by November 15. This will allow sufficient time to receive an admissions decision and complete the scholarship application by December 1.
    • Updated test scores and transcripts received after this date will be considered, as funding permits, for students with a complete scholarship application by December 1.
  1. Need-based scholarships may be awarded to incoming freshmen beginning in December, requiring the FAFSA to be received by December 1 for maximum scholarship consideration.
January 15 – Admission application deadline for Summer/Fall 2018
Late January – Final decisions released for completed applications.
February 1 – Financial aid priority deadline for consideration of financial aid
Early February – First financial aid awards packaged and released on a weekly basis
